  • I wish to be a vendor at the Minority Business Development Center's Outdoor Marketplace. I understand and agree that the Minority Business Development Center, Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, and WPNV 106.3 FM Radio are not responsible and will assume no responsibility for any contraction of COVID-19, loss, theft, damage, or personal injury suffered by the undersigned from any cause whatsoever. I also acknowledge that any work or property is displayed at my own risk, and agree that the Minority Business Development Center may, at its sole discretion, remove any product not considered appropriate. Furthermore, I release all rights to photography and videos taken during the Minority Business Development Center's Outdoor Marketplace to the Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, Minority Business Development Center, WPNV 106.3 FM, Peoria Riverfront Museum and the assigned photographer (SP Boutique Photography Studio) for future usage in print, production, advertisement, publications, etc. I further acknowledge that I will not be paid for any use of the photography, videos, publications, and advertising for marketing and branding purposes. The signature of the undersigned hereby represents that he/she has read and understands this waiver and agrees to be legally bound by this agreement and hold harmless the Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, Minority Business Development Center and WPNV 106.3 FM My initials indicate that I have read understand the attached guidelines.

  • Rental of Space: Vendors are required to make payment, submit a completed application, and sign the waiver to participate. Payment must be made by Friday (August 13, 2021, at 5:00 P.M.) for the event date (August 14, 2021). Fee: $35 (no refunds) for the rental space of vendors bringing their own 6ft table and (2) chairs. Fee: $50 (no refunds) for the rental space of vendors needing a table and (2) chairs. *Payments can be made at the Minority Business Development Center or online. Schedule: The Outdoor Marketplace will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on the side of Minority Business Development Center on 1000 S. Tyng St. Setup time is 2:00 P.M. - 3:45 P.M. Parking: Parking is available in all permissible parking around the venue. Vendor Check-In: All vendors must check in before setting up their booths at the Check-In Point to get their assigned location with table, and chairs. Vendor Space: a single vendor space is up to 6-8 feet. The space will have room for a 6-foot table with (2) chairs and a small tent. The tent must not exceed the allotted vendor space. Spaces are assigned by the Outdoor Marketplace committee. No permanent structures will be allowed. Tables and chairs will be provided for registered vendors. Late Vendors: Spaces of vendors who do no arrive by 2:00 P.M.. may be reassigned to another vendor. Do not attempt to enter the market to setup after 3:45 P.M. Early Departures: Vendors are expected to participate until the stated closing time of 4:00 P.M. Exceptions may be made in emergency situations or at the discretion of the Outdoor Marketplace committee. Code of Conduct: Vendor behavior, personal appearance, and maintenance of sales area should always be a positive reflection. Also, there will be no smoking on the premises. Waste Disposal: All vendors are responsible for removal and disposal of their own boxes, and waste products should be out in the garbage dumpster. Taxes, Licenses, and Insurance: Vendors are expected familiarize themselves with local and state laws related to their business and are responsible for compliance including but not limited to laws related to health regulations, sales tax, and insurance. Questions regarding general liability insurance should be directed to the agency that provides your personal or business insurance. Vendors are required to comply with Illinois and the Peoria County Sales Tax Laws. It is the responsibility of every vendor to know if they are required to collect and remit Illinois Sales Tax. Indemnification and Insurance: All vendors participating in the Outdoor Marketplace shall be individually and severally responsible for any loss, cost, expense (including court costs and attorney's fees), bodily or personal injury, death, and/or property damage that may arise because of the actins or negligence of the vendor or any of the vendor's servants, agents or employees. By signing the vendor application, each vendor agrees to indemnify and hold the Black Business Peoria Chapter, Minority Business Development Center, and WPNV 106.3 FM Radio and their respective officers, agents, members and employees from and against any and all loss, cost, damage, injury and other expenses (including court costs and attorney fees) suffered or incurred by reason of the actions or negligence of such vendor or its servants, agents or employees at the Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, Minority Business Development Center, WPNV 106.3 FM Radio. All vendors expressly acknowledge that no insurance is provided by the Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, Minority Business Development Center, or WPNV 106.3 FM Radio, for the benefit of participants or vendors in the Outdoor Marketplace. If vendors wish to have the benefit of insurance coverage, they must maintain a policy of insurance covering their obligations under this agreement. The undersigned hereby represents that he/she has read and understands the guidelines and that by signing below the undersigned agrees to be legally bound by this release and to indemnify and hold harmless the Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, Minority Business Development Center, WPNV 106.3 FM Radio.
